U11-U14 boys 5:00-6:30pm
U11-U13 girls 5:00-6:30pm
U15-U19 boys 6:30-8:00pm
U14-U19 girls 6:30-8:00pm

If you plan to attend a tryout session please email monusc@embarqmail.com or call 974-GOAL (4625), so that we can add you to the list of participants. It is also suggested (but not required) that you download, fill out, and bring with you to the tryout a copy of the medical release/registration form. (download here) This will eliminate the need for you to fill out paperwork at the tryout.
The paperwork is for insurance and identification purposes only and does not obligate you to join a team, nor does it confirm a spot on a team.

Starting a Travel Team

Are you a coach with a great group of youth players? Want to keep them together from now on? You can, and Monticello United Soccer Club (MonU) will help you.

1.How do I start a MonU travel team?
If you are a player, parent or coach, and you have a group of players that want to play together and stay together, you simply contact MonU. We will answer all your questions and assist you through the process from start to finish.

2. Will MonU help me find players to add to my team?
Absolutely! We have tryouts to fill in open roster spots on existing and newly formed teams.

3. What age group will my team be in?
The age categories for club travel soccer may be different from what you are used to. Age groups for the seasonal year that begins
September 1, 2010, and ends August 31, 2011 are as follows:

U-19 Players born 8/1/91 and younger
U-18 Players born 8/1/92 and younger
U-17 Players born 8/1/93 and younger
U-16 Players born 8/1/94 and younger
U-15 Players born 8/1/95 and younger
U-14 Players born 8/1/96 and younger
U-13 Players born 8/1/97 and younger
U-12 Players born 8/1/98 and younger
U-11 Players born 8/1/99 and younger
U-10 Players born 8/1/00 to 7/31/2002

4. What League do MonU teams play in?
Most MonU teams play in the Old Dominion Soccer League (ODSL), with teams from Culpeper to Northern VA, while other teams play in the Virginia Soccer League (VSLI), with teams from Richmond to VA Beach. The MonU Board, along with input from parents and coaches, place each team in the league which best suits their ability level, future aspirations, and desired travel commitment. Being a member of two leagues is the best way to accomplish this objective.

5. Get all your questions ( about registration and paperwork, cost, travel, fields, referees, etc) answered by the Monticello United Soccer Club staff.
